On September 27, the National Development and Reform Commission officially issued a document approving the 1,000 kV Huainan-Shanghai UHV AC transmission demonstration project of the Anhui-East Transmission Project. This is another approved UHV AC transmission project following the 1000 kV Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC test demonstration project.
The Huainan-Shanghai UHV AC transmission demonstration project is an important channel for the power transmission of the Lianghuai Coal Power Base in Anhui, an important power source to ensure the reliable supply of electricity in the eastern part of East China, and it is also an important way to alleviate the pressure on environmental protection and land resources in East China and solve the 500 thousand An important means of exceeding the standard of volt short-circuit capacity. The project starts from the Huainan substation in Anhui, passes through the southern Anhui substation, the northern Zhejiang substation, and ends at the Huxi substation in Shanghai. The double-circuit line on the same tower has a total length of 2×656 kilometers, and the construction is jointly funded by three power companies in Anhui, Zhejiang and Shanghai.
